Pre-school

Today was Jonathan's first day of pre-school. It was a very emotional day. I had knots in my stomach all morning then I began to feel that I would seriously be okay with leaving my little boy for a few hours. I only started to cry when I had to say goodbye. It made it easier that Jonathan was so happy to be at school though and when I picked him up he told me that he had so much fun. He says that the lego block table was his favorite thing to play with and that he wants to write on the teacher's chalkboard easel tomorrow.

Thus far, I think this was the hardest mile-stone to cross. Yet, I'm so happy for him that he gets to venture into this new part of his life of forming relationships with kids his age and having a life that extends beyond just mommy and daddy. I really saw today what a big boy my little Jonathan is. I love him so much.
