Just Us **Warning** Update Overload.

Jonathan has made it half way through his first year of pre-school and is doing wonderful. I have seen him blossom so much into a big boy this year which makes me so proud. He's really come out of his shell forming relationships with his classmates which is really quite neat to see. The school he's at is absolutely perfect and his teachers are fantastic... they report to me that Jonathan is very polite, considerate, attentive, helpful, and a good friend... he's such a precious boy. I love that his teachers see and appreciate the uniqueness that I love so much about him.

Some Jonathan's latest and greatest: Jonathan has learned to read 18 new sight words the past 2 weeks. My goal is to teach him 5 a week but he's picked up on it so fast that I almost can't keep up with him. He can count to 100, has mastered 100 piece puzzles, knows his letter sounds, loves writing and also playing computer games. He still enjoys building and manipulating objects to make things, playing pretend, telling jokes and drawing/coloring.

Adam is now running around the house! He was an early walker (first steps at 10mo). I think he may be an early talker too because he pays such close attention to certain words I say and tries to repeat them. He also loves playing with and following his big brother all around the house. It's so wonderful that the boys play nice together. I'm very lucky.
Adam sure is my feisty boy. He's also very loving and snugly and will let you know when he objects to something. I love that he is always challenging me to be the best most patient mommy that I can be. I am so thankful for him and appreciate his uniqueness.

Some of Adam's latest and greatest: Adam can recognize up to 5 animals and say their sounds and can sign "milk, more, help, shoes, all done, flower/outside, grandpa, and up". He can point to certain body parts when asked, and can say (or rather gives a verbal cue for) "car/truck, train, bubble, mama, binky, drink, ouch, pop". He also loves dancing and is very interested in Tom's guitars... I think we may have a future musician on our hands!

As for me... well, I registered for online classes (I start on Tues.) to renew my teaching certificate so that I may resume teaching again in the Fall. I'm really excited about this! Please pray that I find an awesome school to be part of.
I've also started watching my nephew Jake again during the day (my sister Erin moved back home from Iowa) which is working out wonderfully. Jake is such an easy going little boy and is a joy to have over here and it makes it easy that all 3 boys play so well together.
Also, the New Year got off to a good start for me by being able to fit back into the jeans I wore before I got pregnant with Jonathan. Yay! I've lost 20lbs within the last 3mo and am loving having my "old" body back. Thanks to running 4miles everyday on my treadmill, weights and some diet changes I finally met my goal.

All is well here in "Wagner World". Hope your 2010 is off to a good start. Happy New Year!
